MHCS Agroecological Indicators Internship

The Robert-Jean de Vogüé Research Center, inaugurated in 2021, is dedicated to integrating science, technology, and expertise to ensure a sustainable future for its wine and spirits brands. It serves as a cutting-edge research facility and a hub for generating and sharing scientific knowledge, fostering innovative projects in viticulture and oenology through a high-end research partnership ecosystem.

1. Select and monitor agroecological indicators based on a preliminary study conducted in 2024 to understand the abiotic functioning of the vineyard ecosystem through carbon, nitrogen, and water cycles.
2. Characterize each experimental plot as a 'soil district' according to the European Commission's definition, considering its unique pedoclimatic context and associated practices.
3. Demarcate experimental plots and assist in the installation and monitoring of sensors such as weather stations and capacitive probes.
4. Track field data acquisition throughout the campaign using various digital tools.
5. Structure and process field-acquired data.
6. Assist in drafting ecophysiological newsletters during the 2025 viticultural campaign.
7. Support the facilitation of workshops focused on experimental protocols.
8. Conduct literature reviews on ecosystem functions and services in viticulture.

1. Student in agronomy or viticulture, pursuing a Master's degree at a university or engineering school.
2. Strong interest in fieldwork.
3. Basic knowledge of QGIS is required.
4. Good data processing skills (proficiency in Excel, JMP, R is a plus).
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
