Loro Piana Research & Purchasing Specialist — Knitwear

1. Collaborate closely with the design office to identify and develop innovative yarns aligned with men’s and women’s collections.
2. Manage reconfirmation of continuous yarn lines and coordinate seasonal colourways across multiple materials.
3. Oversee the full lifecycle of yarns from ideation and prototyping through to the completion of sampling.
4. Maintain material codifications and ensure an efficient traceability system for all yarns and components.
5. Place and track orders for materials required for prototyping and sample production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
6. Monitor deliveries and perform incoming quality checks on materials for prototyping and sample rooms.
7. Ensure seamless handover of yarns and detailed technical information to production teams.

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in yarns, knitwear development or purchasing within the fashion/textile industry.
2. Deep technical knowledge of yarns and knitwear materials and processes.
3. Fluent English (verbal and written).
4. Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with PLM and PROJ software is preferred.
5. Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams, with high attention to detail and flexibility.
