Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets and forecasts on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and year-to-date basis.
- Create presentation packages for budget and monthly reporting.
- Develop new methods for effective planning and review of the profit and loss structure.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities and propose improvement measures.
- Ensure accuracy of data and information during reporting and monthly closings.
- Coordinate accounting-related decisions with the Accounting department.
- Prepare monthly sales, cost, and KPI reports for external and internal partners.
- Review weekly and monthly sales reports prepared by the BPC Assistant Manager.
- Provide insights on irregular movements to superiors.
- Support the Finance Director on specific topics when necessary.
- Demonstrate leadership and train team members, particularly the BPC Assistant Manager.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the retail industry.
- Business fluency in English and excellent communication skills in written and spoken Japanese.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or STEM; CPA is a plus.
Skills
- Strong mastery of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and experience in ERP software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Challenging mindset and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Ability to perform in high-pressure and time-sensitive environments.
- Teamwork skills.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the retail industry.
Education Requirements
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or STEM.
