Kering General Ledger Accountant

- Establish and communicate harmonization and accountability targets for accounting operations.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial entries and statements by enforcing common accounting rules.
- Align systems using the chart of accounts with SAP KOCA and relevant organizational structures.
- Identify and streamline GL accounts for asset accounting and governance of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Harmonize IFRS-compliant capitalization and depreciation policies.
- Lead timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closings in accordance with local GAAP and group guidelines.
- Prepare COGS and margin closing, with a strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory movement.
- Maintain and manage fixed asset management procedures.
- Reconcile intercompany invoices and prepare payments.
- Manage prepaid expenses and evaluate foreign currency transactions monthly.
- Prepare VAT and corporate income tax filings and statutory financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Communicate actively with brands to resolve issues effectively.
- Review and study accounting treatments for new transactions.
- Participate in ongoing projects and support ad-hoc requests.
- Cooperate with back-office functions and other teams to promote best practices and eliminate waste.
- Contribute to the progress of Korea Finance SSC towards ISO certification on quality and controls.
- Implement continuous accounting and fast-close processes leveraging new technologies.
- Over 5-6 years of experience in accounting and financial operations.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Native Korean speaker with fluent English skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting and retail business.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain patience in a demanding environment.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive attitude.
- Good manners and professionalism.
Candidates must have over 5-6 years of experience in accounting and financial operations, with a strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory movement.
