Hermès Production Planning Intern
Atelier HCI is the Hermès footwear atelier in Italy, responsible for the development and production of selected shoe models and for coordinating industrial partners on industrialisation, materials development, quality and supply‑chain compliance. The role sits within the broader Hermès Group — an independent French maison renowned for artisanal savoir‑faire, creative autonomy and a culture that values craftsmanship across multiple métiers.
- Support the production planning team in balancing workloads across internal and external operations and anticipate overloads or shortages through data analysis.
- Determine lead times for each shoe model by mapping the production cycle operations, bill of materials and capacity constraints.
- Assist with order entry and management in the ERP for assigned product categories.
- Coordinate supplier follow‑ups and expediting for semi‑finished parts, heels, soles, lasts and insoles.
- Contribute to a process‑review project to reduce manual inventory movements and improve stock reliability.
- Help define and structure Supply Chain KPIs and reporting for the site.
- Enrolled student or recent graduate in Industrial Engineering / Management Engineering (Ingegneria Gestionale).
- Strong interest in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably footwear or luxury goods.
- Fluent in Italian; working knowledge of French is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confident use of Microsoft Office.
- Analytical mindset with ability to synthesise data and identify root causes.
- Reliable, organised and detail‑oriented with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Open to students and recent graduates; beginners accepted. Previous internship or academic projects in production planning, supply chain or manufacturing are advantageous but not required.
Enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial/Management Engineering (Ingegneria Gestionale) or equivalent.
