Hermès is a global luxury house renowned for its leather goods, artisanal savoir-faire and commitment to handcrafted production. The brand operates a network of regional workshops in France that prioritise small, human-scale teams, on-the-job training and the transmission of traditional skills within a long-term industrial model.

1. Manufacture leather goods (bags, small leather items) from cutting to finishing, ensuring compliance with Hermès quality and timing standards.
2. Cut, stitch, assemble and finish components using hand tools and appropriate machines while respecting technical specifications and patterning.
3. Perform quality checks at each production stage and correct or report defects to maintain product excellence.
4. Follow taught techniques and production sequences during the training programme and progressively increase autonomy on assigned pieces.
5. Collaborate with workshop colleagues and supervisors to maintain a secure, organised and efficient production environment.
6. Adhere to workshop protocols for material handling, tool maintenance and workplace safety, and contribute to the transmission of savoir‑faire.

1. No specific diploma required; candidates without prior formal training are encouraged to apply.
2. Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor skills; aptitude for precise handwork.
3. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
4. Team spirit, perseverance and the motivation to learn through a structured training pathway.
5. Availability to begin the training programme on 5 May 2026 and to complete the specified contracts.

Beginners accepted. Selection is based on aptitude tests and interviews assessing manual skills, personal qualities and motivation rather than prior experience.

No formal education required; a professionalisation contract followed by a 12‑month alternance will be provided, enabling candidates to acquire the fundamentals of the trade and to prepare for the CAP Maroquinerie.

The workplace emphasises transmission of craft, close‑knit teams and long‑term commitment. Regional ateliers are intentionally small and focused on local, artisanal production that values skill development, mutual respect and aesthetic integrity.
