Hermès Junior Direct Buyer (Apprenticeship)
Holding Textile Hermès coordinates the Group’s textile production units and serves both Hermès and external clients, covering activities from weaving to garment production and shipment. The Holding brings together operational teams for quality control and finished‑goods dispatch alongside shared support functions (supply chain, IT, finance, purchasing, commercial and innovation), operating principally in the Rhône‑Alpes region as part of the Hermès ecosystem.
- Support the implementation of the direct purchasing strategy under the supervision of the Textiles & Technical Components Buyer.
- Contribute to mapping and knowledge of partner value chains to ensure compliance with Group sourcing briefs and supplier traceability requirements.
- Manage the technical components purchase portfolio: enter contracts and update purchase prices in ERP M3, analyse invoice variances, consolidate technical, quality, volume and sustainability requirements.
- Maintain proactive supplier relationships, assist in price requests and participate in negotiation rounds with the lead buyer.
- Participate in the supplier risk analysis campaign: gather stakeholder input, formalise risk assessments for new suppliers using the HTH evaluation grid, and publish risk indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement: develop tools and documentation (price grids, performance analysis templates, PowerBI reports, material indicators, new supplier packages) and support supplier creation processes.
- Train and accompany internal stakeholders in the adoption of purchasing tools and processes; liaise regularly with logistics, supply‑chain, quality and site teams.
- Undertake short field trips as required; base role at Pierre‑Bénite (69).
- Enrolled in a higher‑education programme specialising in Purchasing/Procurement or Supply Chain and available for an apprenticeship (alternance).
- Proficient with Excel including pivot tables (TCD), experience producing reports and dashboards with PowerBI.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically M3, and aptitude for accurate contract and master‑data entry.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesise data and produce clear indicators and reports.
- Rigour, organisation, autonomy and adaptability; curiosity and a proactive, improvement‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and maintain constructive supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and sustainability principles and willingness to act as an engaged member of the Purchasing & Sustainable Development team.

Open to beginners and students; suitable for candidates with little or no prior professional purchasing experience who are enrolled in a work‑study/apprenticeship programme.
Enrolled in a graduate‑level or advanced undergraduate programme with a specialisation in Purchases/Procurement or Supply Chain, in a work‑study (alternance) format.
