Hermès Human Resources Manager
The role is within the Manufactures de Franche-Comté, part of Hermès Maroquinerie Sellerie. The employer operates several artisanal leather goods manufactures and an in-house school in the Belfort–Montbéliard area, combining high‑end craftsmanship with structured corporate HR practices as part of the Hermès group.
- Lead and implement the HR strategy for the site, ensuring alignment with group policies and production objectives.
- Define, structure and support organizational design together with the Site Director to meet operational targets.
- Act as member of the site leadership committee and advise managers on operational HR matters, performance and workforce planning.
- Drive recruitment and onboarding for artisans, supervisory and support functions in coordination with the Group recruitment team and the Hermès school.
- Manage day‑to‑day HR administration: time & attendance, contracts, benefits, and ensure reliability of data required for payroll.
- Ensure compliance with French labour law and internal HR procedures; act as primary contact for employees on operational remuneration matters.
- Maintain constructive social dialogue: prepare and co‑facilitate meetings with employee representatives and the CSSCT; anticipate and defuse potential conflicts.
- Support disciplinary procedures and provide guidance on employee relations.
- Accompany continuous improvement and site performance initiatives, collaborating with HSE and other stakeholders on safety, hygiene and environmental topics.
- Contribute to transversal HR projects and represent the site in group HR missions.
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience; experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in employee relations, social dialogue and works council/committee interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational HR activities: recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and HR administration.
