- Adapt and implement the worldwide buying strategy at the regional level, considering market specificities and priorities.
- Collaborate on special projects across categories during buying campaigns, including capsules and seasonal collections.
- Perform in-season analysis to optimize assortments by store and ensure carryover product assortment is maximized.
- Coordinate with various regional functions on launches, store openings, renovations, and events.
- Work with Inventory Planning to define stock distribution rules for new and carryover styles.
- Monitor in-season cancellations and collaborate with Inventory Planning and Supply Chain.
- Partner with other merchandising team members to develop and execute merchandise assortment and buying plans.
- Monitor sales and sell-through to optimize stock and boost sales.
- Review competitor activity and internal pricing to optimize product positioning.
- Conduct regular store visits to highlight product information and buying strategies to store teams.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising and retail to enhance product presentation.
- Conduct sales plan reviews with regional and worldwide planning teams.
- Evaluate sales potential by event/store to inform open-to-buy opportunities.
- Provide strategic input for visual setups to impact business positively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, or related discipline desired.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant buying experience in a fashion or luxury environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30% to 40% of the year.
- Ability to work a demanding schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Client-centric focus with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficient in strategic planning and execution.
- Excellent collaboration and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis.
- Ability to adapt and implement global strategies at a regional level.
A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant buying experience in a fashion and/or luxury environment is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, or related discipline desired.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $110,000 to $120,000 for New York City.
