Givenchy Textile Buyer and Sourcing Specialist

- Assist the Sourcing/Development/Purchasing Manager in fabric selection, availability requests, and verification of pricing, minimums, lead times, and certifications.
- Propose printing base options and liaise with printers and the graphic studio.
- Conduct purchasing and procurement of material samples, prototypes, and SMS.
- Maintain and update the fabric and dye order tracking table for each season.
- Adhere to allocated budgets and collection deadlines; negotiate prices, minimums, and lead times, and suggest alternatives to optimize purchasing or production conditions.
- Dispatch materials according to factory needs for model launches.
- Create material codes and update information in the PLM system, including weight, composition, price, minimums, lead time, technical sheets, and customs codes.
- Collect all technical specifications of fabrics and coordinate with the quality manager for potential testing of high-risk materials.
- Monitor invoicing of orders and development services via ESKER/order table.
- Centralize fabric traceability information to comply with AGEC law and the LVMH LIFE 360° program.
- Participate in fabric-to-sketch assignments.
- Manage collection stocks and inventory of carry-over materials.
- Oversee fabric extraction from PLM for pre-purchase meetings.
- Prepare material archive binders, production handover, and swatches for merchandising and production teams.
- Advanced degree in textile engineering, fashion school, business school, or equivalent university education with strong material knowledge.
- Significant experience in fabric purchasing and/or material development/sourcing.
- Dynamic and organized with strong proposal skills and interpersonal ease with external and internal stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Italian is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PLM systems, and fabric stock management in SAP.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fabric purchasing or material sourcing and development.
Advanced degree in textile engineering, fashion, business, or equivalent.
