Galeries Lafayette Purchasing Assistant (Internship)

- Support the purchasing team in the end‑to‑end processing of purchase orders, from issuance to delivery follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update supplier, order and shipment data in internal systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders (production, quality, logistics) to expedite orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor lead times, stock levels and order confirmations to anticipate shortages and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare procurement reports and KPI dashboards to inform purchasing decisions and supplier performance reviews.
- Assist with sourcing activities, price comparisons and obtaining quotes from approved suppliers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing workflow, including data cleansing and process documentation.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills with rigorous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- Analytical aptitude with ability to prepare concise reports and interpret procurement metrics.
- Proactive approach and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Internship experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain support is advantageous; candidates may be early‑career or in need of a six‑month practical placement. Demonstrable exposure to order management or supplier communications will be valued.
Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
