ETA Plastics Technologist / Machine Setter (green-part production)

1. Set up, adjust and commission injection moulding and related production equipment for green-part/plastics components.
2. Perform mould changes, tooling adjustments and machine parameter optimisation to meet quality and output targets.
3. Monitor production processes and product quality; execute first-article inspections and in-process checks.
4. Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues, implement corrective actions and document changes in production records.
5. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements, cost reductions and new-product introductions.
6. Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and maintain a clean, audit-ready production area.

1. Vocational diploma/apprenticeship in plastics technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
2. Practical experience setting up and operating injection moulding equipment; experience with MIM processes advantageous.
3. Proven ability to read technical drawings and follow process specifications.
4. Strong manual dexterity and familiarity with tooling and mould handling procedures.

Typically 2+ years of hands-on experience in injection moulding or plastics production; proven track record in machine setup, tooling changes and process troubleshooting. Prior exposure to MIM or watch-component production is a strong advantage.

Vocational diploma / apprenticeship in plastics technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or an equivalent technical qualification.
