ETA Mobile Robotics & Production Robots Intern

ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse is a leading Swiss movement manufacturer and a production company within the Swatch Group. The organisation specialises in the design and manufacture of high-precision watch movements, components and automated production systems, combining traditional watchmaking craft with advanced industrial engineering.

1. Support the Automation department in the design, integration and commissioning of mobile robotics and industrial robot cells for watch movement production.
2. Program, test and validate robot sequences and automation routines under supervision; perform iterative adjustments to optimise cycle times and reliability.
3. Conduct on-site functional tests, troubleshooting and calibration of sensors, grippers and control interfaces in a regulated production environment.
4. Document technical procedures, test protocols and commissioning reports; contribute to technical dossiers for production transfer.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process engineers and operators) to ensure seamless installation and safe operation of automation equipment.

1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation or Electrical Engineering.
2. Strong theoretical grounding in robotics, kinematics and control systems.
3. Basic programming ability (Python, C/C++ or equivalent) and familiarity with automation logic.
4. Practical, hands-on aptitude for mechanical and electrical assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
5. Methodical work style, attention to detail and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
