1. Ensure the proper fit of garments through precise marking and alteration.
2. Address customer inquiries regarding alterations, fit, repair, cleaning, or care.
3. Sew alterations according to the schedule provided to customers.
4. Press and repair garments as needed.
5. Maintain an organized tailor shop and ensure supplies are stocked.
6. Ensure all equipment, such as sewing machines and pressers, are well-maintained.
7. Utilize proper telephone etiquette for customer inquiries and message taking.
8. Communicate customer requests to management.
9. Contribute to problem-solving and service improvement within the tailor shop.
10. Store altered and unaltered merchandise in an orderly manner.
11. Participate in store meetings and training seminars.
12. Adhere to designated work schedules and shifts.
13. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

1. Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or fitter.
2. Ability to operate necessary equipment, including sewing machines and pressing equipment.
3. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy garments.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Willingness to adhere to company policies and standards.

1. High-quality workmanship in alterations, repairs, and pressing.
2. Accurate garment marking and pinning for alterations.
3. Understanding of fit issues and ability to recommend alterations.
4. Knowledge of garment care instructions and ability to advise customers.
5. Outstanding customer service skills in person and by telephone.
6. Clear and concise communication skills.
7. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum 3 years of experience in tailoring, seamstress, or fitting roles.
