1. Ensure the proper fit of garments through precise tailoring.
2. Address customer inquiries regarding alterations, fit, repair, cleaning, or care.
3. Mark garments accurately for tailoring purposes.
4. Execute sewing alterations within the scheduled timeline provided to customers.
5. Press garments to maintain their pristine condition.
6. Repair garments as necessary, adhering to high-quality standards.
7. Maintain an orderly and well-stocked tailor shop.
8. Ensure all equipment, such as sewing machines and steamers, are well-maintained and operational.
9. Utilize proper telephone etiquette for customer interactions and inquiries.
10. Communicate customer requests effectively to management.
11. Collaborate with team members to enhance service and productivity of the tailor shop.
12. Organize and store customers' altered and unaltered merchandise neatly.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars as required.

1. Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or fitter.
2. Ability to operate necessary equipment, including sewing machines and pressing equipment.
3. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy garments.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Willingness to adhere to company policies and standards.

1. High-quality workmanship in alterations, repairs, and pressing.
2. Accurate marking and pinning of garments for alteration.
3. Understanding of fit issues and ability to recommend appropriate alterations.
4. Knowledge of garment care instructions and ability to advise on maintenance.
5. Outstanding customer service skills, both in person and by telephone.
6. Clear and concise communication skills.
7. Ability to manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 5 years of experience in tailoring or a related field.

Hourly rate ranging from $30 to $40, plus eligibility for medical benefits and 401k.
