- Collaborate closely with premières mains, stylists, cutters, seconds, workshop managers and the CAO/DAO (CAD) pattern department to ensure coherence between design intent and technical execution.
- Convert toiles into precise patterning in partnership with CAD/CAO patternmakers and ensure patterns are production‑ready.
- Guide and supervise assembly and mounting with première mains across a variety of materials; oversee fittings and refine final appearance.
- Propose technical solutions to improve feasibility and final quality; follow optimisation work to achieve desired fit, drape and finish.
- Respect delivery deadlines set by workshop management and adhere to the Maison’s quality, cutting and finishing standards.
- Transmit savoir‑faire by supporting apprentices, new hires and junior premières mains; contribute to skills development within the atelier.
- Professional qualification in fashion patternmaking or garment trades (CAP / BEP / Bac pro Métiers de la Mode, Modélisme or Patronage).
- Minimum 10 years’ proven experience in a comparable role within a luxury ready‑to‑wear or couture workshop; extensive atelier experience preferred.
- Exceptional technical mastery of pattern cutting, draping, toile-making, assembly and couture finishing.
- Advanced knowledge of fabrics and textile behaviour with demonstrated ability to select appropriate construction techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, autonomy, dynamism and the patience required for mentorship and fine handwork.
