Responsibilities
- Coordinate compliance of all associates with established company standards, including safekeeping of funds and property, personnel practices, security, inventory management, sales, and record-keeping procedures.
- Train, coach, and lead all associates in execution of operations tasks such as POS procedures, return procedures, alteration requests, safety, and security.
- Supervise the accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor to maintain inventory standards.
- Ensure adequate security and that physical facilities align with safety codes and ordinances.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Coordinate communication between the store and central distribution and/or corporate inventory control.
- Produce and maintain operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all back-of-house operations are properly set-up and organized.
- Lock and secure the store and oversee compliance with all opening/closing and security procedures.
- Assist with payroll management and scheduling of associates, ensuring compliance with payroll budgets.
- Help solve problems affecting the store's service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers.
- Exercise judgment and discretion in conjunction with the management team in the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of retail store management with a strong operations background.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Availability to travel as needed.
Skills
- Ability to manage store operations effectively, including payroll, customer service, shipping/receiving, alterations, and facilities management.
- Ability to produce, complete, and maintain records and documentation pertaining to the workforce.
- Proficiency in operating all necessary equipment, including POS systems, inventory control systems, and office equipment.
- Ability to develop and train the workforce, build relationships, and utilize skills of the workforce appropriately.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to the workforce.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and listen attentively to others.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in retail store management.
