1. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
2. Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
3. Process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages in accordance with company policies.
4. Support compliance with established company policies and standards regarding safekeeping of funds, security, and record-keeping.
5. Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss.
6. Communicate effectively with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
7. Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
8. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
9. Complete price changes within the boutique.
10. Pack or wrap customers’ merchandise when necessary.
11. Solve problems and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity in the receiving area.
12. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars.
14. Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.

1. Minimum 3 years of retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience.

1. Effective handling of receiving operations and merchandise.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
3. Proficiency in reading, counting, and writing to complete documentation accurately.
4. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems.
5. Capability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
6. Competence in operating necessary equipment, including phone systems and inventory-control systems.
7. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting.
