Christian Dior Merchandising Trainee

- Generate and review weekly sales reports using Excel, ensuring alignment with sales targets.
- Manage daily product shipping and deliveries.
- Collaborate with Retail teams to handle product inquiries and provide business updates.
- Contribute ideas to enhance business strategy.
- Assist with weekly stock rebalances to optimize sales and sell-through.
- Monitor and track trunk show samples.
- Conduct competitive market analysis and prepare monthly recaps on pricing, trends, and events.
- Support the creation of seasonal launch tools, including buy book creation and managing photo and selling tools.
- Assist during four seasonal buying markets, including premarket analysis and strategy presentation.
- Review sales results from advertising campaigns and product highlights.
- Prepare analysis on fast/slow sellers and sell-through reports.
- Compile seasonal qualitative collection feedback and end-of-season product analysis.
- Support the Merchandising team with weekly reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Full-time availability for an 8-month program, Monday to Friday, 9-6pm, with remote work on Fridays.
- At least 6 months of prior merchandising or buying experience, preferably in luxury retail women's fashion.
- Strong working knowledge of retail math and critical retail metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and all Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent organizational skills with a drive for results and independent problem-solving ability.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective and professional communication with boutique teams.
- Creative thinking in business analysis.
- Technical ability to manage merchandising software.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
At least 6 months of prior merchandising or buying work or internship experience, preferably in luxury retail women's fashion.
$20 per hour, with potential eligibility for medical benefits, commuter benefits, and 401k plans with employer contributions.
