Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional wine service to guests
- Maintain and manage the wine cellar
- Collaborate with the culinary team to pair wines with menu items
- Educate guests and staff about wine selections
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Sommelier from a reputable institution, preferably WSET 3 or similar
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of wine, liquor, and champagne
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to different situations in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of hotel operations, specifically food and beverage operations
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort establishment.
Education Requirements
Certified Sommelier from a reputable institution, preferably WSET 3 or similar calibre qualification.
