Cheval Blanc Assistant Sommelier

- Ensure operational setup and manage wine cellar logistics.
- Oversee cellar management, including stock monitoring and inventory in collaboration with the Purchasing Department.
- Welcome guests and provide expert wine recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Participate in order taking, transmission, and service of beverages and occasionally food, adhering to hotel protocols.
- Assist in table clearing and resetting operations.
- Present and process billing according to hotel procedures.
- Promote hotel and Cheval Blanc services and products.
- Perform cleaning tasks as per hotel standards.
- Manage linen setup, renewal, and supply.
- Report any unusual situations regarding guest safety or potential accidents to management.
- Formal training in sommellerie, such as Bac Pro Service and Commercialisation, Bac STHR, BP Sommellerie, MC Sommellerie, or WSET Level 4.
- Knowledge of HACCP hygiene standards.
- Understanding of beverage service legislation.
- Familiarity with luxury hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant environments.
- Strong knowledge of gastronomy and oenology.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong representational ability.
- Excellent customer service orientation with courtesy and tact.
- Empathy and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail, precision, and organizational skills.

A minimum of 3 years of significant experience in a similar high-standard establishment is required.
Formal training in sommellerie is required.
