Chanel Senior Accountant, Accounting & Reporting

1. Lead and execute month-end close activities for the Malaysia entity, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger postings and reconciliations.
2. Prepare statutory and management financial reports, variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
3. Coordinate and deliver accounting deliverables in compliance with IFRS / MFRS and local regulatory requirements.
4. Support statutory and internal audits, including preparation of schedules, responses to auditor queries and remediation of audit findings.
5. Maintain and improve accounting controls, processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
6. Liaise with tax, treasury and regional finance teams to ensure alignment on reporting, intercompany transactions and regulatory filings.
7. Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and contribute to cross-functional finance projects and system implementations.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
2. Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
3. In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
4. Demonstrable experience with month-end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
5. Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, tax advisors and business stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
