Chanel Quality Control Manager, Fragrance Laboratory
Chanel is a prestigious independent company renowned for its commitment to creative freedom, human potential cultivation, and active engagement in making a positive impact globally. As part of its illustrious legacy, Chanel is establishing a new industrial site in Venette, dedicated to the manufacturing and packaging of perfumes. This site will employ approximately 200 staff members, reflecting Chanel's dedication to excellence and innovation.
- Oversee the release of raw materials, concentrates, semi-finished products, and by delegation, the release of finished fragrance products.
- Lead and organize the laboratory, coordinating activities from raw material control to finished product inspection, ensuring prioritization based on production needs.
- Develop and monitor sector performance through KPIs and implement appropriate action plans.
- Manage and optimize equipment, control tools, and analytical methods in collaboration with the Neuilly Research and Analysis Laboratory.
- Supervise and support the team, developing each member and prioritizing overall workload while fostering autonomy.
- Manage non-conformities and audits, including detection, analysis, corrective actions coordination, and participation in internal and external audits.
- Engineering degree or university diploma in chemistry (Bachelor's +4/5).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in laboratory management within fine chemistry, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food processing industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and synthesis skills.
- Proficiency in raw material and fragrance product analysis equipment and techniques.
- Knowledge of quality, safety, and hygiene regulations and GMP processes.
- Familiarity with SAP or LIMS is advantageous.
A minimum of 3-5 years in laboratory management within fine chemistry, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food processing industries is required.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, with additional qualifications preferred.
