- Lead the development and integration of inclusive policies and procedures to foster a supportive organizational culture.
- Focus on strengthening a culture of duty of care, including safeguarding, travel, expenses, security, diversity, and inclusion.
- Support the establishment of safeguarding culture and develop guidance, training, and practical tools for regional and functional teams.
- Assess cross-cutting policy needs and support relevant financial policies and knowledge management.
- Develop and harmonize a repository of people-focused policies, ensuring consistency and contextual adaptation.
- Ensure strategic alignment with internal and external stakeholders to align with wider policy frameworks.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture by designing systems for ongoing policy review and enhancement.
- Embed best practices in safeguarding and diversity throughout policies, systems, and operational practices.
- Lead initiatives to mainstream safeguarding principles across all organizational levels.
- Provide expert guidance and support to internal investigators, Global HR, Safety & Security, and senior leadership.
- Stay updated on international best practices related to safeguarding and gender-based violence.
- Oversee and lead internal investigations into alleged breaches of safeguarding policies.
- Proven ability in developing and implementing policies fostering safety, inclusion, and accountability.
- Expertise in change management strategies to embed cultural and procedural shifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge in safeguarding and sensitivity to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Significant experience in safeguarding or related discipline in international development or philanthropic settings.
- Experience in conducting and managing investigations into safeguarding breaches.
- Forward-thinking and openness to new developments in diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding.
- Proven experience in capacity building and delivering training to diverse audiences.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, virtual training platforms, and training creation software.
Significant experience in safeguarding or related discipline within international development, social justice, or philanthropic settings, including conducting and managing investigations into safeguarding breaches.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
