Chanel People Operations Manager

1. Lead end-to-end HR operations for the New York organisation including HRIS administration, payroll coordination, benefits administration and workforce data integrity.
2. Partner with business leaders and HR partners to deliver scalable people processes across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, mobility and offboarding.
3. Own HRIS configuration, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives; translate HR data into actionable insights and key metrics for senior stakeholders.
4. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations (New York) and maintain up-to-date employee records and documentation.
5. Drive operational projects such as HR process standardisation, HRIS enhancements, and HR automation to improve service delivery and efficiency.
6. Supervise relationships with external vendors (payroll providers, benefits brokers) and oversee timely execution of monthly payroll and benefit changes.
7. Coach and mentor junior HR team members; promote best practices in employee relations, case management and conflict resolution.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
2. Demonstrable experience with HRIS platforms and payroll/benefits administration.
3. Strong knowledge of US federal, state and New York employment law and HR compliance requirements.
4. Proven capability to manage cross-functional projects and to synthesise HR data into executive-level reporting.

Approximately 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in HR operations or people operations management; experience within luxury retail, fashion, or consumer goods preferred. Prior responsibility for HRIS administration, payroll coordination and compliance in a US environment is expected.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
