Chanel Intellectual Property & Creative Legal Intern

- Support the IP and corporate legal teams in drafting, reviewing and formatting contracts, licensing agreements and NDAs related to creative projects and collaborations.
- Assist with management of the intellectual property portfolio: trademark and design filings, renewals, opposition monitoring and basic prosecution tasks under counsel supervision.
- Conduct clearance searches and legal research on trademark, design, copyright and unfair competition matters in French and international jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with in-house business partners (design, marketing, product development) and external counsel to follow up on open matters, deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Prepare litigation and dispute-docketing materials, compile evidence, and assist with file organisation for enforcement actions or oppositions.
- Draft memoranda, presentation slides and status reports summarising legal risks and recommendations for non-legal stakeholders.
- Currently enrolled in a French or international law programme (Master 1/2, LLM or equivalent) with option or coursework in intellectual property law.
- Demonstrable interest in fashion/luxury IP, creative rights and brand protection.
- Excellent legal research and drafting skills, with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- Ability to work confidentially, manage competing deadlines and liaise professionally with internal teams and external advisers.
- Fluent written and spoken French and strong professional English (legal drafting and correspondence level) are highly desirable.

Prior internship or coursework in intellectual property, corporate or commercial law preferred; experience in a legal team supporting creative or fashion clients is an advantage.
Law degree in progress (Master 1/2, LLM or equivalent) with coursework or specialization in intellectual property preferred.
