Chanel General Accounting and Fixed Assets Manager

- Oversee the operational management of general accounting and fixed assets, ensuring compliance with French and IFRS standards across approximately 40 French entities.
- Prepare and coordinate accounting closures, adhering to reporting deadlines and declarative obligations.
- Manage and monitor the investment budget forecast.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal teams in France and the UK, as well as external partners such as auditors and accounting firms.
- Coordinate and lead audits conducted by statutory auditors for French entities.
- Prepare and facilitate internal controls conducted by the Finance department or internal audit teams.
- Coordinate and prepare necessary documentation for tax administration controls.
- Maintain quality relationships with other departments to ensure overall process coherence and performance.
- Contribute to the cohesion and harmonization of practices among European subsidiaries' accounting teams.
- Propose and implement digital transformation initiatives to optimize and digitize accounting processes.
- Actively participate in change management and the deployment of digital solutions.
- Manage, motivate, and support a team of 25, fostering skill development and operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the department.
- Advanced degree in accounting/finance (Master's level or equivalent), with CPA qualification being a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum 9 years) in a complex financial environment, both corporate and public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and IFRS.
- Solid understanding of digital transformation and process automation challenges.
- Proven managerial and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams of at least 10 people.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP and other financial IT tools (AX, Oracle, TM1, Basware).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Curiosity, autonomy, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work effectively in an international environment.
Minimum of 9 years of experience in a complex financial environment, including corporate and public accounting.
Master's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent. CPA qualification is advantageous.
