Chanel Financial Accountant

- Perform monthly financial closing tasks, including inventory reconciliation, goods-in-transit monitoring, and support for physical count processes.
- Assist in the preparation of adjustment journals, depreciation journals, and reclassification of entries during month-end closing.
- Prepare balance sheet breakdowns and global reporting submissions.
- Handle general inquiries from external parties such as auditors and business users.
- Support internal control activities on financial statements, including local stock count planning, cycle count reviews, and physical asset audits.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and apply relevant statutory reporting and accounting standards.
- Maintain and update Chanel's Chart of Accounts and practice internal controls at the transactional level.
- Identify and escalate inappropriate behavior or non-compliance with policies.
- Utilize system outputs to meet job requirements and apply tests for reasonability and accuracy.
- Manage finance-related administrative tasks to support financial processes.
- Participate in projects and assignments, including system updates and UAT testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus).
- At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a multinational environment or audit firm.
- Experience with retail industry is advantageous.
- Solid expertise in month-end closing processes and understanding of market specificities.
- Proficiency in fixed asset and lease accounting.
- Full professional proficiency in Thai and English.
- Ability to embrace challenges and adapt to changes.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a multinational environment or audit firm. Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus).
