Chanel ESG Performance Manager (MDM)

- Lead the design and implementation of Master Data Management processes to ensure the integrity, traceability and usability of ESG-related data across the organisation.
- Define, monitor and continuously improve ESG performance KPIs and data quality rules in collaboration with sustainability, supply chain, finance and IT stakeholders.
- Operate as the central point for ESG data governance: establish ownership, stewardship, taxonomy, and lifecycle rules for sustainability data.
- Coordinate delivery of ESG reporting and disclosures by assembling validated datasets, producing management dashboards, and supporting external reporting requirements.
- Manage projects to integrate new data sources, automate data collection, and uplift data pipelines using MDM tools and BI platforms.
- Supervise cross-functional working groups, provide training to data stewards, and enforce data governance standards and controls.
- Proven experience in Master Data Management, data governance or data quality roles, with specific responsibility for sustainability/ESG data.
- Demonstrated ability to define and track ESG KPIs and to translate regulatory or voluntary reporting requirements into operational data processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills, with experience running cross‑functional initiatives.
- Comfort with data modelling, metadata management and establishing stewardship frameworks.
- Preferred: formal training or certification in sustainability reporting, data governance or related disciplines.

Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in data governance, master data management or ESG reporting, including hands-on delivery of MDM programmes and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Prior experience within luxury goods, retail or complex international supply chains is advantageous.
Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a closely related field preferred.
