Chanel Director of European Accounting

- Oversee the Shared Services Center for Accounting, covering approximately 40 French entities and three major divisions: Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, and Watches & Fine Jewelry.
- Act as the primary accounting reference and trusted contact for Chanel SAS, ensuring the reliability and compliance of general, client, supplier, and asset accounts with French and IFRS standards.
- Supervise financial closings, audits, and reporting, ensuring adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and advise the network of European accounting managers, ensuring consistency and harmonization of practices across markets.
- Lead and develop a team of 60 to 70 diverse professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Drive the transformation and digitalization of accounting processes, collaborating with IT and other departments to implement continuous improvements.
- Ensure legal, tax, and regulatory compliance, managing risk prevention related to accounting standards and practices.
- Advanced degree (Master's level) in Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a complex financial environment, ideally within a corporate or consultancy setting.
- Proven expertise in French and IFRS accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams in international contexts.
- Natural leadership and ability to influence and consult on major issues.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
- Strong affinity for transformation, digitalization, and automation of accounting processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and pedagogical skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders.
A minimum of 15 years in a complex financial environment, with significant experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams internationally.
Master's degree in Finance or related field.
