Chanel Alterations Specialist

- Produce high-quality altered merchandise within established time frame standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with boutique associates and management.
- Fit garments on clients and perform alterations such as hemming, mending, and adjusting seams.
- Maintain and organize client-owned pieces in accordance with Chanel standards.
- Stay updated on Chanel-specific alteration techniques, including luxury garment fabrication and styling.
- Ensure sewing machines and equipment are in proper working order.
- Offer styling and fitting advice to clients.
- Label garments and record required alterations.
- Use irons and pressing machines to remove creases from garments.
- Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment preferred.
- Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
- Strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonholes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Service-minded with exceptional client service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience in alterations within a luxury retail environment is preferred.
Minimum High School Diploma
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $27.70 to $35.00 per hour, with potential for additional variable pay such as bonuses.
