Chanel Accounts Payable Accountant

- Process and book supplier invoices with full compliance to internal controls and tax requirements.
- Prepare and execute vendor payments, bank transfers and payment runs in accordance with payment terms.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies through proactive vendor and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Support month-end and year-end closings by preparing AP schedules, accruals and variance analyses.
- Maintain and update supplier master data and ensure appropriate authorization workflows.
- Collaborate with procurement, treasury and local business partners to optimize payment processes and cash management.
- Assist internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations of AP transactions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and ERP/process optimizations.
- Diploma in accounting or finance (Bac+2/3 or equivalent) — higher education in accounting preferred.
- Solid knowledge of French accounting principles and VAT/tax treatment applicable to supplier transactions.
- Strong analytical skills and rigorous attention to detail with proven ability to prioritise in a deadline-driven environment.
- High level of integrity and adherence to internal control procedures.
- Good communication skills and experience liaising with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Typically 2–5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within a multinational or luxury goods company, with demonstrated exposure to month-end close and AP processes.
Bac+2/3 in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (e.g., BTS Comptabilité, DUT Gestion, Bachelor's in Accounting).
