Chanel Accounts Payable Accountant

1. Process and book supplier invoices with full compliance to internal controls and tax requirements.
2. Prepare and execute vendor payments, bank transfers and payment runs in accordance with payment terms.
3. Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies through proactive vendor and internal stakeholder engagement.
4. Support month-end and year-end closings by preparing AP schedules, accruals and variance analyses.
5. Maintain and update supplier master data and ensure appropriate authorization workflows.
6. Collaborate with procurement, treasury and local business partners to optimize payment processes and cash management.
7. Assist internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations of AP transactions.
8. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and ERP/process optimizations.

1. Diploma in accounting or finance (Bac+2/3 or equivalent) — higher education in accounting preferred.
2. Solid knowledge of French accounting principles and VAT/tax treatment applicable to supplier transactions.
3. Strong analytical skills and rigorous attention to detail with proven ability to prioritise in a deadline-driven environment.
4. High level of integrity and adherence to internal control procedures.
5. Good communication skills and experience liaising with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Typically 2–5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within a multinational or luxury goods company, with demonstrated exposure to month-end close and AP processes.

Bac+2/3 in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (e.g., BTS Comptabilité, DUT Gestion, Bachelor's in Accounting).
