Chanel Accounts Payable Accountant

1. Manage the end-to-end supplier invoice lifecycle, including invoice validation, PO matching and posting to the general ledger.
2. Schedule and execute supplier payments in accordance with payment terms and cash management policies.
3. Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate and resolve aged items and discrepancies, and maintain the supplier ledger.
4. Prepare month‑end accounts payable reconciliations, accruals and prepayments; support month‑ and year‑end close activities.
5. Ensure VAT, withholding tax and local tax treatments are correctly applied and documented.
6. Maintain robust internal controls over payables processes and support internal and external audits.
7. Act as primary contact for supplier queries and liaise with procurement, treasury and business units to resolve issues.
8. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ERP/process implementation or optimisation projects as required.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
2. Professional accounting diploma or certification is a plus.
3. Solid knowledge of accounts payable accounting, VAT and local tax rules applicable in France.
4. Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and proven integrity in financial processes.
5. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a deadline-driven environment.

Approximately 2–4 years of hands-on accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably within retail, luxury goods or consumer-facing sectors. Experience working in a multinational environment or supporting cross-border suppliers is advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline.
