Celine Merchandising Manager, Ready-to-Wear & Shoes

- Lead merchandise strategy for Ready‑to‑Wear and Shoes in the Japan market to drive sales and control inventory with a holistic, season‑to‑season vision.
- Participate in buying sessions in Paris and implement structured buys aligned with the maison’s strategic direction.
- Define and execute product allocation by store to match local demand and retail initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Retail, Visual Merchandising, E‑commerce, Clienteling and PR to maximize category performance.
- Set commercial actions, monitor KPIs and manage seasonal sell‑through to achieve sales targets.
- Design and deliver product knowledge trainings for store teams to accelerate conversion and sell‑through.
- Conduct regular competitive and market research and relay qualitative feedback and analyses to global merchandising teams.
- Identify business opportunities for category growth and propose actionable plans.
- Manage, coach and develop a Merchandising Assistant, fostering teamwork and an open‑minded working environment.
- Minimum 10 years’ professional experience with proven buying responsibility in a luxury fashion brand, including managerial oversight.
- Business school or university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- Demonstrable commercial and analytical acumen with experience setting KPIs and monitoring sell‑through.
- Strong leadership, coaching and team‑development capabilities.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally for buying and cross‑regional collaboration.

At least 10 years of progressive experience in merchandising and buying within a luxury fashion house, including direct managerial responsibility and exposure to international buying cycles.
Business school or university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
