1. Lead and supervise all activities within the footwear assembly department, ensuring day-to-day production objectives are met.
2. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across the department.
3. Optimize departmental processes and workflows to improve efficiency and output.
4. Organize work allocation and manage the production flow, including staffing and shift planning.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for production targets and deliverables.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance and reduce waste.
7. Promote and instil a quality-first culture ('right first time') within the team.
8. Diagnose and resolve production and personnel issues promptly and effectively.

1. Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in shoe assembly; experience with men's footwear is an advantage.
2. Strong technical knowledge of footwear construction and assembly processes.
3. Practical understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Proven people-management skills, including team motivation, organisation and conflict resolution.
5. Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong quality orientation.
6. Proficiency with core IT tools such as SAP, Excel and Outlook.
