Balenciaga Financial Controller, Europe

- Develop the annual budget and forecast in collaboration with operational managers and local financial controllers to define OPEX and CAPEX levels for the European region; analyze and validate data submitted by country controllers.
- Oversee monthly financial closings, including data submission into the reporting system (P&L, balance sheet, sales reports), and review and analyze sales, P&L, and balance sheets reported by country controllers.
- Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts, ensuring account harmonization across entities.
- Analyze country margins in collaboration with the inventory control team and communicate with the global finance team on closing matters.
- Prepare and present the monthly European financial report to the EMEA President and European Financial Controller.
- Monitor and analyze European performance in collaboration with local controllers (sales, store expenses, margins, inventory control) and check variances against the budget.
- Coordinate local financial controllers and shared service centers during closing and budgeting processes, and on cross-functional project development.
- Prepare analyses for various departments (Retail, HR, Merchandising, Store Planning, Global Finance, Inventory Control).
- Collaborate with the accounting team to understand financial flows and monitor/analyze costs.
- Participate in projects related to optimizing departmental information systems.
- Degree from a business school, engineering school, or university with a specialization in finance/management control/audit.
- 3 to 5 years of successful experience in management control, financial control, or audit.
- Meticulous and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Autonomous with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability.
- Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural context.
- Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP and/or HFM is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
3 to 5 years in management control, financial control, or audit.
Degree in finance, management control, or audit from a business school, engineering school, or university.
