Cartier General Ledger Accountant

- Ensure compliance of Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expense justifications with internal policies and Maison standards.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting principles and internal deadlines.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including reporting of Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Financial Statements, and Supplementary Schedules.
- Reconcile payroll accounting entries and ensure alignment between HR data, payroll, and social security contributions.
- Perform regular and ad hoc general ledger account reviews and controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage the preparation and submission of Swiss quarterly VAT returns and French VAT declarations.
- Oversee the full fixed assets lifecycle and lease accounting processes.
- Handle accruals and provisions, ensuring timely and accurate recognition.
- Monitor and support the accounting treatment of specific projects and ad hoc events.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to SAP and other systems, in coordination with the Accounting Manager.
- Act as SAP Key User, supporting the team by resolving issues and coordinating with IT, including incident reporting and follow-up.
- Support the preparation and coordination of documentation for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects and tasks to support department goals.
- Federal certificate in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
- Solid experience of 5 to 10 years in accounting and/or fiduciary.
- Full proficiency in Windows suite software.
- Mastery of SAP FI/CO and Excel.
- Fluency in French and good knowledge of English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities and stress effectively.
- High degree of enthusiasm, curiosity, and motivation.
5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and/or fiduciary roles.
Federal certificate in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
