Yves Saint Laurent Staff Accountant

- Support Saint Laurent Americas, including USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Panama.
- Collaborate with Kering Shared Service, external BPOs, and the Finance team during monthly and year-end closing.
- Integrate and review local Trial balances into the ERP system.
- Prepare Margin Files and manage monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
- Analyze monthly activity of specific elements of the Profit and Loss statement.
- Maintain Kering cash tool for the Latin America region.
- Provide backup support for financial uploads in HFM.
- Analyze financial activity to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review and approve expense reports for the Latin America region.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in ensuring process accuracy and efficiency with Kering Shared Service units and external BPOs.
- Maintain a clean Trial Balance by ensuring timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations for all business units.
- Approve invoices and inventory stock adjustments daily for the Americas region.
- Support Senior Accountant in monthly variable rent calculations.
- Manage intercompany activity and end-of-month billing and reporting to Kering affiliates.
- Assist in the preparation of support for annual external and Group Internal audits.
- Support management on ad hoc analyses and special projects.
- Aid the Controller & Assistant Controller in monitoring internal control compliance and SOPs.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in an accounting role; retail experience is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate data, and prepare concise reports and presentations.
- Capacity to multi-task while adhering to critical deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining relationships with colleagues and international counterparts.
- Commitment to confidentiality with sensitive company information.
- Proactive in anticipating workload impacts and maintaining a positive work attitude, including willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.
- Technologically adept and motivated to learn new systems; SAP experience is a plus.
A minimum of 2 years in an accounting role, with a preference for candidates with retail experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
