Yves Saint Laurent Senior Buyer - Women's Leather Goods

- Serve as the ambassador and business owner for Women's Leather Goods, inspiring teams and clients.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives across all Leather Goods departments.
- Curate market-specific assortments and evaluate sales results to identify risks and opportunities.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and target customer profiles.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with global partners, particularly in Paris.
- Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies for Leather Goods.
- Present seasonal buys and strategies to senior leaders and global partners.
- Oversee the product life cycle and ensure stock optimization.
- Analyze sales data to define action plans for category growth.
- Manage core replenishment stock and sales.
- Monitor business performance by store and SKU, implementing initiatives to maximize local opportunities.
- Compose weekly, seasonal, and ad hoc business recaps.
- Collaborate with global teams on product feedback, strategic pricing, and market needs.
- Host in-store trainings and maintain strong partnerships with store leaders.
- Work closely with internal departments such as Marketing, E-commerce, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Public Relations, Supply Chain, and Client Services.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years of buying experience within luxury retail, preferably in Leather Goods
- Passion for the brand and luxury products
- Strong taste level and appreciation of luxury
- Entrepreneurial and results-driven mindset
- Flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen and understanding of buying psychology
- Proficiency in retail math (stock to sales, sell-through, inventory turn, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in building strategy decks
- Willingness to travel internationally to Paris and locally to US stores
A minimum of 8 years in buying within the luxury retail sector, with a preference for experience in Leather Goods.
Bachelor’s Degree
A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000 with bonus eligibility.
