Yves Saint Laurent Junior Knitwear Designer
Saint Laurent, a renowned luxury fashion house founded in 1961, pioneered the concept of luxury ready-to-wear with the launch of its 'Rive Gauche' line in 1966, symbolizing youth and freedom. Acquired by Kering's luxury division in 1999, Saint Laurent continues to lead the luxury fashion industry under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016. - Contribute to the creative research for collection themes in alignment with the Artistic Direction, including iconography, colors, materials, treatments, and vintage inspirations.
- Design mock-ups and develop technical drawings for collections.
- Prepare launch dossiers and oversee product development.
- Participate in fittings and the implementation of artistic direction.
- Support styling sessions and the preparation of looks.
- Engage in all stages of collection development within the Knitwear Studio.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in a ready-to-wear studio, with a focus on knitwear.
- Strong product sensitivity and technical knowledge specific to knitwear, including understanding of stitches, structures, volumes, and finishes.
- Proficiency in creative software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to propose creative ideas during research, mock-up design, and development phases.
- Curiosity and awareness of trends, with the ability to capture the zeitgeist while respecting the brand's DNA.
- Teamwork, rigor, method, and responsiveness in a demanding and constantly evolving environment.
A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in a ready-to-wear studio, specializing in knitwear.
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
