Watchfinder is a specialist retailer and service provider in the pre-owned luxury watch market, recognised for technical excellence and rigorous authenticity checks. The business operates dedicated workshops and client-facing services that combine traditional horological craft with contemporary retail and e‑commerce operations.

1. Assemble, fit and finish watch cases and components to luxury watchmaking tolerances, including bezels, crowns, casebacks and crystals.
2. Execute metal finishing operations — polishing, satin-brushing and surface restoration — to brand-equivalent standards.
3. Install and seal gaskets, fit movements into cases, and perform pressure/water-resistance testing and leak diagnosis.
4. Conduct visual and dimensional quality control using inspection microscopes, micrometers and calipers; document findings and dispatch-ready criteria.
5. Maintain accurate workshop records for repairs, parts usage and serial-number tracking; prepare items for final handover to servicing or sales teams.
6. Operate and maintain workshop equipment (ultrasonic cleaner, polishing lathes, torque drivers) and ensure compliance with health & safety and clean-bench protocols.
7. Collaborate with watchmakers, restorers and client services to resolve technical issues and meet turnaround and quality targets.

1. Vocational qualification in watchmaking (e.g., WOSTEP, BHI) or a relevant mechanical/engineering apprenticeship preferred.
2. Proven practical competence in case assembly, finish work and pressure testing within a watch or jewellery workshop environment.
3. Strong manual dexterity and attention to fine mechanical detail; ability to work under a binocular microscope for extended periods.
4. Familiarity with luxury watch brands' finishing standards and care for high-value items; evidence of previous work on premium timepieces is advantageous.

Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in watch case assembly, metal finishing or a related role within a horological or high-precision mechanical workshop; experience servicing luxury/pre-owned watches preferred.

Vocational qualification in watchmaking or mechanical engineering, or equivalent apprenticeship; formal watchmaking certification (e.g., WOSTEP or BHI) preferred but not mandatory.
