Van Cleef & Arpels Retail Director

- Lead the performance, profitability, and development of the UK boutique network in alignment with the Maison's global strategy.
- Ensure the achievement of business targets through exceptional client experience and operational excellence.
- Manage teams in accordance with the Maison's values, supporting talent development for individual and collective performance.
- Report directly to the UK Managing Director and functionally to the head of the Regional Retail Department.
- Ensure retail sales targets are met and monitor the network's P&L.
- Lead strategic projects such as boutique openings, closings, and renovations.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to build the retail component of the market's strategic and three-year plans.
- Set boutique sales targets in collaboration with local departments such as Marketing, Communications, and PR.
- Analyze market KPIs and identify priority actions for target achievement and business growth.
- Develop and monitor each boutique's Commercial Action Plan with Boutique Managers.
- Guarantee the highest standards of boutique operations to achieve business targets and satisfy client expectations.
- Implement Central policies and procedures, adapting them to local laws and ensuring correct usage in all boutiques.
- Support the implementation of tools to drive retail operations and boutique productivity.
- Ensure fluid communication between retail, boutiques, and office teams, as well as with the region.
- Define the UK client development strategy in coordination with the regional approach.
- Ensure development of boutique CRM capabilities and implementation of client portfolio management.
- Represent and act as an Ambassador of the Maison during events and with VIP clients.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure a qualitative and quantitative representation of all collections.
- Anticipate and ensure the recruitment of the best profiles for the network.
- Define and support individual development plans to onboard, grow, and retain talent.
- Evaluate individual performance and provide regular feedback.
- Participate actively in the succession planning of the Retail teams.
- Strong understanding of the luxury retail business with previous management experience in luxury retail or boutique environments.
- Significant experience in managing sales activities and projects within the retail business.
- Proven leadership experience with skills in people development, coaching, and mentoring.
- Business and results-driven with a structured and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be persuasive, engaging, and motivating.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in strategic planning and execution.
- Analytical skills for market and performance analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
