Tiffany & Co. CAD Technician Intern

- Support the file creation for components needed for servicing and new sale alteration orders.
- Collaborate with the TSC team on product functionality and technical design elements.
- Partner with the craft team to provide timely and innovative CAD solutions to complex mechanical problems.
- Design rapid prototyping, including 3D printing and wax modeling.
- Scan stones for unique projects.
- Ensure all models adhere to modeling best practices and manufacturing standards.
- Create and maintain the CAD product details library, including CAD files, specifications, and renderings.
- Develop deep product knowledge of Tiffany & Co. collections, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Proactively seek and apply new skills and techniques for quality and productivity improvements.
- Establish and monitor individual timelines and ensure adherence to overall project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with management and team regarding project status, issues, and concerns.
- Connect with the casting team on technical details such as sprue location and metal fineness.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements, maintaining a safe workstation.
- Provide assistance throughout the service center and participate in special projects as needed.
- Degree or enrollment in Jewelry Design, Jewelry Arts, Industrial or Fashion Design, or Engineering.
- CAD experience.
- Proficiency in Rhino, Modo, SolidWorks, T-Splines, Z-Brush, Adobe CS, KeyShot, V-Ray, Maxwell.
- Manufacturing knowledge of jewelry or related industries.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Beginner level experience in CAD and jewelry manufacturing processes.
Degree or enrollment in relevant fields such as Jewelry Design, Jewelry Arts, Industrial or Fashion Design, or Engineering.
$25 per hour
