Thelios Technical CAD Designer

- Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD models and drawings for eyewear, ensuring seamless transition from aesthetic design to technical reality.
- Design components optimized for plastic injection and Metal Injection Molding (MIM) processes, managing challenges related to mold closures, drafts, movements, and complex geometries.
- Develop and review technical mold designs, ensuring adherence to industrial production requirements.
- Possess basic knowledge of CAM pathways for the creation of molds and related equipment, impacting processing times and surface quality.
- Ensure all projects comply with luxury industry standards and relevant technical regulations.
- Actively participate in project reviews, providing decisive technical input to resolve engineering issues from the early stages.
- Maintain rigorously organized project files, bill of materials, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Design, or equivalent technical education.
- Proven expertise as a CAD Designer, preferably in the eyewear or high-precision sectors.
- Proficiency in parametric CAD software, specifically Catia or PTC Creo.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances.
- In-depth knowledge of mold construction technologies and the dynamics of plastic (NYLON) and metal (MIM) material transformation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to design challenges.
- Ability to work independently, ensuring high performance from the outset, and aptitude for working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret and translate complex technical drawings and schematics into industrial solutions.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in the eyewear or high-precision sectors.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Design, or equivalent technical education.
