Tapestry Junior Legal Counsel

- Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and commercial contracts, including marketing and PR contracts, influencer agreements, and ecommerce contracts.
- Provide legal advice and support to the HR team on employment law issues, including instructing external counsel when necessary.
- Serve as the lead legal contact for the Store Operations team, providing support on consumer law queries and negotiating contracts for day-to-day services in European stores.
- Support the Statutory Accounting team with audit requests and engagement letters with professional advisers.
- Provide legal advice to the Customer Services team as required.
- Manage and respond to incoming legal notices, correspondence, and other legal documents for the Europe region.
- Stay updated with the regulatory landscape and provide legal support to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with data protection legislation in Europe.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including Ecommerce, Marketing & PR, Finance, Tax, IT, and Store Operations.
- Provide information and complete necessary paperwork for KYC requests.
- Support the Senior Manager, Legal Counsel on company secretarial matters related to European entities.
- Organize and maintain all legal files, expand and maintain the precedents database, and assist with projects that strengthen legal team processes.
- UK Qualified Solicitor with 0-2 years of legal experience.
- Experience in an in-house legal department.
- Employment law experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with a desire to work closely with commercial and retail functions.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage a variety of legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Ambitious with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Superior judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Fluency in additional language(s) is desirable but not essential.
0-2 years of legal experience, preferably within an in-house legal department.
