Swatch Group Senior Accountant
The Swatch Group, a titan in the horological industry, is renowned for its prestigious Swiss watch brands including Swatch, Omega, Longines, Tissot, Hamilton, Certina, Rado, and Balmain. The Swatch Group Netherlands operates as the sales organization for these illustrious brands within the Netherlands. From its headquarters in Eindhoven, the company supplies independent jewelers and major retail chains, while also managing a growing number of proprietary retail outlets such as Swatch Stores and Shop-in-Shop corners in De Bijenkorf, as well as the Tourbillon Boutique in Amsterdam and Hour Passion in the Designer Outlet in Roermond.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial transaction processing.
- Reconcile ledger balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with Dutch GAAP.
- Handle corporate tax, VAT, and payroll tax filings.
- Prepare periodic payment batches for executive authorization.
- Administer the capital expenditure portfolio.
- Serve as the primary contact for compliance matters, including audits and tax filings, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant.
- Experience in a retail organization is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a holistic view.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as SAP, SAP BW, and Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in Dutch and good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Financial management and accounting expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Demonstrable experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the retail sector.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
