Senior Accountant

The Swatch Group Netherlands is part of the global Swatch Group, responsible for the sales of renowned Swiss watch brands such as Swatch, Omega, Longines, Tissot, Hamilton, Certina, Rado, and Balmain within the Netherlands. The company operates from its headquarters in Eindhoven, supplying independent jewelers and large retail chains, and has a growing number of its own sales outlets.

1. Process financial transactions in the general ledger
2. Manage and maintain the general ledger
3. Reconcile general ledger balances and resolve discrepancies
4. Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual closings (Dutch GAAP)
5. Handle tax filings (corporate tax, VAT, payroll taxes)
6. Prepare periodic payment batches for authorization by management
7. Manage and administer the capex portfolio
8. Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external compliance matters (audit, tax filings, authorities, etc.) and external advisors

1. Minimum of a higher professional education (HBO) in finance
2. Proven experience and knowledge as a Senior Accountant
3. Experience in a retail organization is a plus

1. Accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining an overview
2. Good communication skills
3. Team mentality with the ability to work independently
4. Proactive and initiative-taking (self-starter)
5. Proficiency in various IT systems such as SAP, SAP BW, and Office 365 with advanced Excel skills
6. Excellent knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Proven experience and knowledge as a Senior Accountant, with experience in a retail organization being a plus.
