Swatch Group Senior Accountant
The Swatch Group, a global leader in the watchmaking industry, encompasses a prestigious portfolio of Swiss watch brands including Swatch, Omega, Longines, Tissot, Hamilton, Certina, Rado, and Balmain. The Swatch Group Netherlands serves as the sales organization for these brands within the country, operating from its headquarters in Eindhoven. This location supplies independent jewelers and major retail chains, while also managing a growing number of proprietary sales points, such as Swatch Stores and Shop-in-Shop corners in the Bijenkorf, along with the Tourbillon Boutique in Amsterdam and an Hour Passion in the Designer Outlet in Roermond.
- Process financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile ledger balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual closings (Dutch GAAP).
- Handle tax filings including corporate tax, VAT, and payroll taxes.
- Prepare periodic payment batches for authorization by the management.
- Manage and administer the capital expenditure portfolio.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external compliance matters, including audits and tax filings.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
- Proven experience and knowledge as a Senior Accountant.
- Experience in a retail organization is preferred.
- Accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining an overview of the broader financial picture.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Proactive and self-initiating attitude.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as SAP, SAP BW, and Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent command of Dutch and good command of English, both spoken and written.
Demonstrable experience in a Senior Accountant role, preferably within the retail sector.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
