Swatch Group Retail Controller
The Swatch Group, a global leader in the watchmaking industry, encompasses prestigious Swiss brands such as Swatch, Omega, Longines, Tissot, Hamilton, Certina, Rado, and Balmain. Operating within the Netherlands, The Swatch Group Netherlands serves as the sales organization for these renowned brands, distributing to independent jewelers and major retail chains from its headquarters in Eindhoven. The company also manages a growing number of proprietary retail outlets, including Swatch Stores, a Tissot boutique in Amsterdam, and an Hour Passion store in the Designer Outlet in Roermond.
- Manage financial administration and controlling for Swatch Group Netherlands from the Eindhoven headquarters.
- Oversee all transactions and processes related to company-owned stores, with full P&L and balance sheet responsibility for the retail business.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Conduct daily sales reconciliations between POS and ERP systems (SAP).
- Analyze gross margins and costs periodically.
- Report and discuss retail results with the management team, both locally and internationally.
- Contribute to the development of business cases for new store openings.
- Validate pricing strategies.
- Lead inventory controlling within the finance team.
- Participate in operational project teams for new store openings.
- Conduct on-site store audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures and perform periodic inventory counts.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
- Proven experience and knowledge in a financial controlling role.
- Experience within a retail organization is preferred.
- Accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the broader picture.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Proactive and initiative-driven.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP, SAP BW, and Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent command of Dutch and good command of English, both written and spoken.
Proven experience in financial controlling, preferably within a retail environment.
Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
