Swatch Group Public Relations and Communications Manager
Glashütte Original is a prestigious watchmaking brand located in the Saxon town of Glashütte, Germany. With a history dating back to 1845, the company is renowned for its authentic manufactory production, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies. The brand produces up to 95 percent of all movement components and dials in-house, representing the pinnacle of German watchmaking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with press, editors, and influencers in the luxury and fashion sectors.
- Continuously improve media relations and outreach, identifying new opportunities beyond traditional trade media.
- Develop and lead market-specific PR/Communications campaigns to promote the brand's product assortment, history, and core values.
- Collaborate with North America Marketing and HQ Communications teams to create and implement strategic communications plans.
- Ensure consistent messaging aligned with the brand’s mission, core values, and vision.
- Develop and maintain relations with stylists, influencers, and VIPs.
- Plan and execute key press events, oversee event-related communications, and ensure media attendance and coverage.
- Manage PR product inventory, organize product loans for photoshoots and reviews, and coordinate logistics.
- Organize periodic manufactory visits with press.
- Monitor PR/Communications activities and report on campaign metrics, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years in Public Relations and/or Communications experience.
- Proven track record of implementing high-impact PR/Communications strategies across various channels.
- Deep understanding of the luxury market, specifically fashion, luxury timepieces, and fine jewelry.
- Knowledge and experience with PR events, influencer partnerships, media activations, and celebrity product placement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and timelines.
- Strong existing media contacts and relations.
- Collaborative and positive team player, willing to work in a small cross-functional team.
- Occasional travel and weekend work for key events and activations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Strong relationship-building skills with media and influencers.
- Strategic thinking and planning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools.
Minimum of 5-7 years in Public Relations and/or Communications, with a proven track record in the luxury market.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000.
