Swatch Group Import/Export Manager

- Establish and oversee import and export processes in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain internal SOPs and KPIs for efficient inbound freight management.
- Collaborate with sales to create customer-specific import handling procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data transmission to governmental agencies for import activities.
- Maintain compliance with CBP and other government regulations, ensuring staff are trained accordingly.
- Organize and update data including rate agreements and HTS classifications.
- Arrange transportation and warehousing of imported products, negotiating contracts with delivery agents.
- Conduct monthly reporting to management.
- Train and onboard new employees.
- Perform entry audits and support A/R collections as needed.
- Manage customs brokerage activities as the broker of record, interfacing with government agencies.
- Conduct audits to assess import compliance and manage the audit program.
- Supervise the Import Team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Licensed US Customs Broker.
- BS degree required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in import/export management.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience in an import/export environment.
- Experience with US Customs, US Fish and Wildlife, and FDA regulations.
- Foreign Trade Zone, drawback, and reconciliation experience required.
- Proficiency in ERP and WMS systems, SAP preferred.
- Experience with self-filing, ABI systems, and EDI Trade software packages.
- Export experience to the Caribbean is a plus.
- Strong compliance focus and understanding of import/export regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Performance-driven with a passion for logistics.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
A minimum of five years in handling imports and exports, including at least three years in a supervisory or management role.
BS degree required; college degree preferred.
