Swatch Group Import/Export Manager

- Establish, oversee, and improve import and export process flows in compliance with applicable rules and company policy.
- Develop internal SOPs and maintain KPIs for efficient management of inbound freight.
- Collaborate with the sales department to develop customer-specific import handling procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data transmission to governmental agencies for all import activities.
- Maintain compliance with CBP and other government agency regulations.
- Organize, update, and disseminate data including rate agreements and HTS classification.
- Arrange transportation, warehousing, or distribution of imported products.
- Negotiate contracts/rates with delivery agents.
- Conduct monthly reporting to management.
- Train staff and onboard new employees.
- Perform entry audits and support A/R collections as needed.
- Manage customs brokerage activities and function as the broker of record.
- Conduct audits and assess import compliance on every file where CBP services are provided.
- Supervise the Import Team, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Strong compliance focus and understanding of country-specific import/export regulations.
- Experience dealing with US Customs, US Fish and Wildlife, FDA.
- Foreign Trade Zone experience is desired.
- Drawback and Reconciliation experience is required.
- Experience with large database systems ERPs and/or WMS systems.
- BS degree is required; College Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in handling imports and exports.
- Three or more years of supervisory/management experience in an import/export environment.
- Licensed US customs broker is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in self-filing, ABI systems, and self-filing software packages.
- SAP literate.
- Performance driven.
- Highly organized and structured.
- Detail and process oriented.
- Passion for logistics.
A minimum of five years of experience in handling imports and exports, including three or more years of supervisory/management experience.
BS degree is required; College Degree is preferred.
